Louis Daguerre was a French romantic painter who created the first permanent photgraph. He is best known for inventing the Daguerreitype with help from Joseph Nicephore Niepce. The Daguerrotype was a process used to develop photographs which was released to the public in the eighteen hundreds. He apprenticed in architecture, theater design, and paranormal painting before creating the daguerrotype, creating the first permanent photograph.
